Mission Romania

The Smiles Foundation

Between the 20th and 27th October 2018, a group of intrepid explorers from All Saints’ Church in Marlow will be taking part in Mission Romania, a trip to the eastern European country where they will be volunteering with The Smiles Foundation.

The Smiles Foundation is a charity that works in north-west Romania and aims to relieve poverty, promote education and provide hope and opportunity to many through a variety of projects, including evangelistic outreach, food distribution, medical support, social assistance, education, child care, life skills training and housing provision.

The volunteers taking part on the trip are: Anna Clarke, Anna B, Becca, Amber, Ellie, Emily, Tooey, Morgan, Kate, Alison, Nannette, Kirsty and Grace.

Anna Clarke has a long established link with Smiles and there have previously been two teams from All Saints that have gone out to serve alongside Smiles in the past two years. Those who have been have seen the impact of Smiles’ work first-hand and can vouch for the credibility of the organisation as well as testify to the value of undertaking mission work with Smiles.

As part of Mission Romania they need to raise £4000, so if you would like to support them, then please visit their Just Giving page.

To help reach their fundraising target they have also organised several fundraising events which will be published on this page.
