Churches Together in Marlow are hosting ‘An Evening with Henry Olonga’ at Sir William Borlase’s School Hall. Henry was an international cricketer for Zimbabwe and is a charismatic speaker with a magnificent tenor voice. Henry will tell his story of an escape from a violent regime. His story is told with modesty and good humour and provides a vivid portrait of a sportsman of exceptional courage and strong Christian faith. At the same time Henry offers an unusual insight into the world of international cricket. In short, a compelling account of bravery and steely determination.
You are warmly invited to hear Henry’s thrilling life story so far. Tickets at £5, but free to students, are available from Tony Threlfall (Tel 471610).
