Live streaming the @1059 service

On Sunday 21st August, All Saints Marlow will be breaking all records for the size of its congregation as it takes part in a Church of England initiative to live stream its @1059 service to an international audience. The ChurchLive initiative sees one church selected each week to stream their service, making it quite an honour for All Saints to be chosen from a choice of 16,000 churches. It is perhaps a testament to our forward thinking vision, and desire to make church more accessible.

The service will be live streamed using Twitter’s Periscope app. If you’re an Apple user then download the app from the App Store, if you’re an Android user then download the app from Google Play. Download the app and search for @ChurchLive. Using the app you can join the live stream at 11am on Sunday 21st August. A link will also be posted via ChurchLive’s Twitter account.

During the filming, it is possible, perhaps even likely, that members of the congregation will appear on screen. For those not wishing their fifteen minutes of fame however, a seating area has been designated that we guarantee won’t be filmed. This will be a normal service and the fact that it is live streamed won’t change the way we worship together on a Sunday morning
