Our vision for this new church building is to create a space where faith flourishes, community thrives, and lives are transformed. This house of worship will stand as a beacon of hope, welcoming all who seek spiritual growth, fellowship, and purpose. Rooted in love and guided by God’s presence, this space will serve as:
A Greenhouse: A place to grow in faith & spirituality
At the heart of our new building is the worship of Jesus Christ. Everyone worships. We choose to worship Jesus. This will be a building where all ages of people, at all stages of faith and in all sizes of groups can come together to grow in faith through the worship Jesus in all styles and traditions.
The new building is not just for the convinced but also for the sceptic. Our hope is that those who don’t worship Jesus will find a place where they are welcome to come and explore.
Explore life in all its fulness and meaning. The new building will offer time and space to seekers after truth.
A Lighthouse: A place to serve from
Jesus calls his church to be a ‘light’ in the community in which it stands. Where people feel in ‘darkness’ this building will be a place where the light of Christ will offer hope through the ministries that take place there.
It will also shine a light into the houses of those who need practical support. Housing supplies for those in practical need and hosting the administrative teams that will get those supplies to those who need them.
A Meeting House: A place to come together
The building will provide hospitality to a variety of groups and businesses that serve the needs of the people of Marlow Bottom. Primary provision will be given to the local Baden-Powell Groups. The new building’s size will allow a wide variety of groups to meet there and build community. It will also be a place where the people of Marlow Bottom can celebrate, mourn, plan and create together.

Our New Church Building…from the Architect
We are excited to share plans for a new purpose-built facility designed to serve both the church family and the wider Marlow Bottom community.
The building will be:
- Welcoming & Accessible – A single-storey design with step-free access from Kingsley Road and nearby parking.
- Flexible & Practical – A bright entrance foyer connects all spaces, including a worship hall for 100 people, meeting rooms with access to a terrace, an office, and support facilities. Moveable partitions create adaptable spaces for different events and gatherings.
- Light-filled & Modern – Generous glazing, rooflights, and an open layout provide a warm, airy environment while maintaining privacy when needed.
- Community-minded – The underused front lawn will be sensitively adapted for informal parking, while landscaped areas keep a garden feel.
- Respectful in Design – With a pitched roof and modest scale, the building sits comfortably among neighbouring homes while clearly presenting itself as a church – contemporary, welcoming, and relevant.
This new space will strengthen our ability to worship, serve, and connect with the local community.
